If I have already completed a 200 Hours YTT elsewhere, can I still register in your 300 Hours Program?

Yes


What are the accommodations like?

Accommodations are provided in 3 bedroom apartments, where students are sharing the apartment with at least two other students, however each has their own bedroom. The bathroom is shared, and is equipped with hot water facility.

There is also a small kitchen containing, a coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave and toaster. Students are welcome to prepare warm beverages and bring food to their apartments as basic appliances are provided for the comfort of the student.


How do I reach your institution?

The main international airport of India is located in the capital city of Delhi.

The main methods of reaching Solan are:

  • a) private taxi (by road)
  • b) domestic flight (to either Chandigarh or Shimla and then taxi to Solan)
  • c) train
  • d) deluxe bus from Delhi Interstate Bus Terminus (ISBT) to Solan

Can you help with the visa process?

Please visit the Government of India website for instructions and guidelines on how to apply for a visa to India from your country of origin or elsewhere.


I have previous yoga experience but no 200 Hour certificate. Can I directly join the 300?

Although it is highly recommended to start with the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course, there is no restriction on registering directly for a 300 Hour program. You will start with a regular 200 Hour cohort and continue for another 100 hours after the 200 Hour cohort concludes their program.


Should I learn the asanas or join the yoga teacher training course?

You will learn the asanas in the yoga teacher training program. However if you have no prior yoga experience, although it is not mandatory, it is recommended to take some yoga classes in your local community before attending. However, there is no prerequisite of knowing yoga asanas before attending.


Will you organize my airport pick up?

While the taxi charges are to be covered by you, we certainly can organize your airport pickup. We can send a taxi for you.


Is India Safe?

Yes, India is generally a safe country. However, it is highly recommended to respect the cultural values and practices of the local communities to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to yourself. And it is always a good idea to exercise the same common sense safety rules while in India as you would in your own country of origin.


Is food provided?

Yes food is provided in the course package, along with lodging. There are three meals a day, snacks and tea twice a day.

In addition each accommodation is equipped with a tea kettle, coffee maker, toaster and microwave, should you choose to either bring food to your room or prepare yourself a light snack or warm beverage. Basic cutlery and crockery is also provided.

Students are also welcome to venture out into the local markets and try local cuisine, however those meals are at the student’s own expense. Student’s can also opt to purchase their own snacks to stock their rooms.


Is your food vegan? Vegetarian or gluten free?

The food served at the institution is pure vegetarian. However milk products are used. Should you have specific food requirements, such as vegan or gluten free requirements, or any other kinds of food allergy concerns, all those requirements can be met. Alternative menus will be available.


How do I pay for the course?

You pay for the course through the registration page.


Can I just come for the classes and arrange for my own stay?

Generally we discourage this, as staying with your cohort for the duration of the program aids in a greater learning experience. It also minimizes outside traffic to the school, maintaining tighter security.

However please contact us with this request and in special circumstances it can be considered.


Is your course excessively based in religion?

Our programs do cover Indian mythology and touch on principles of some of the Indian religions. However our courses mainly focus on yogic philosophy. References are directly out of yogic texts, with the exception of reviewing yogic philosophy in the Bhagvad Gita, which is a Hindu scripture.
